Vic's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients

½ C Shortening
-
½ C Brown Sugar
-
¼ White Sugar
-
1 egg
-
1 tsp Vanilla
-
1 C All Purpose Flour
-
¾ tsp Salt
-
1 tsp Baking Soda
-
½ a bag of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375
-
Cream the Shortening, White Sugar, Brown Sugar, Egg and Vanilla on low with a mixer until peaks begin to form.

Stir in the Flour, Salt and Baking Soda.

Fold in Chocolate Chips.

Make 1 TBS round balls of cookie dough and place them on a greased cookie sheet about 2’’ apart.

Bake cookies for 9-10 minutes or until edges begin to brown.

Allow to cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a cooling rack.
Tips
If you wish to only bake some of the cookies you can flash freeze the remaining dough balls and seal them in an airtight bag until ready to use. To bake from frozen, bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
